Transformation

Masha reflects on the shifts she has witnessed in people who arrived feeling stuck and hopeless, and how integration helps a new outlook take root.

In this short reflection, Masha speaks about the moments that stay with her: people who arrived at the end of their rope, sure that nothing more was possible, and the quieter change that came afterward.

She is careful about where that change comes from. In her experience it is not the journey alone but the integration that follows, the slow work of seeing your life in a different light, that lets a shift settle in. As she puts it, people "regain the hope and see their life in a different light."

Her observations here draw on years of clinical and psychedelic-assisted work. Facilitation with MycoMuse is distinct from medical, psychiatric, and psychotherapy care, and no two journeys look the same.

So many instances come to mind when I think of a big shift in a person after psychedelic-assisted therapy, both after psilocybin and ketamine, as well as other psychedelic therapies. What I have seen a lot is people who come in hopeless and at the end of the line sometimes, and they say that they feel stuck and that they have no hope. And through those experiences, and especially through integration after the journeys, they regain the hope and they see their life in a different light. It is transformational.
